Notes About The Poem

Lily

Languidly adorning cemetery gravesites
Imbued with grace, softly hushed purity
Libation of white lilies splayed upon gray grave
Yielding sentiments of love laden in mourning

Dear Anaya, It's so beautiful and sad at the same time. The way you use those words to describe the scene is so engaging, and the feeling behind it really comes through. It's a truly moving piece. Blessings, Dear Anaya, Daniel

The experience of trekking through the gravesites is indescribable. Especially the famous ones! I love reading headstones and pondering on their lives and their death. The man with a thousand voices--"That's All Folks" is a favorite of mine. TyVm Daniel

Your first line causes us to slow down and step into and see the beauty and grief of the gravesite.

They are beautifully done up, some. I trek through gravesites and read the headstones. Intense feelings they give.

This is delicate and poignant. The imagery of lilies and mourning conveys both beauty and solemnity with quiet elegance. Thank you for sharing this with us.
