Like a Moment

Like a prayer chiseling away at all the pain
Awakening truths that reveal hopes and dreams
Encourage hearts to listen to the whisper of faith
That comes from looking up to God’s heavenly gate
Assurance comes with a touch of insight and hope
Washing away tears and fears with a gentle love
Which allows God to give His perfect peace
And answer every prayer with wisdom’s breath

Like a moment spent listening to the still small voice
Of the One who gave us the desire to know Him
The Creator of the stars and the dreams within
The One who whispers answers to us as friends
Our ideas and visions come alive and dance in time
With all the sweetest feelings filling us with hope
Amazing the hues of compassion whispering faith
To those who share in the joy coming from grace

Like a caress from the falling rain of a summer’s night
This inspiration that comes from above brings such joy
It stirs the sweet sensations of glorious rays from sunshine
Intimately showing the world that God is surely alive
And filling this old world with a sense of insight and delight
Miracles that come to us from that heavenly home on high
Where there are angels looking down on earth to inspire
Moments of brilliant relief from worry, fear and strife

Like a ember of perfect enthusiasm for the holiness inspired
By love that knows no bounds and gives without conditions
Love that feels so alive it virtually dances with enthusiasm
Guides the soul to know truth that lives on the inside and inspires
Each heart to know without a doubt they have been saved
By the amazing grace of God’s Son who gives us perfect peace
From all the discouragement and despair that fills our lives
And leads us to the prayers that fills our souls with courage inside
