Lightness of Being
Life’s notes of simplicity
flow soothingly in stillness
like a lone white swan
swimming languidly
through silent ripples on a lake
in the early morn.
How I long to flow along in
nature’s pure tranquility
cast off cluttered burdens
and fling life’s complexities
to the farthest shores.
To find freedom in space
brings serenity to the soul
peaceful presence of mind
comfort, calmness and clarity.
For when I cast off the
unnecessary baggage
of life, I can relish in the
joy of the present
and live lavishly
in lightness of being.
