Light In the Night

I had become bubble wrapped,
cotton candy had stuck to my brain
as I drifted
from one dream to another.

I went out to study the night sky,
to reflect.
As I looked upward
a billion stars fell into my eyes
arms lifted
I yelled incomprehensibly.

My neighbors dog woke up
and it yelled also
maybe it saw my eyes
shining down on him,

or maybe he just
bit through a bubble?
