Light For the Soul
A whisper of a smile
Fell gentle
Across my thoughts
Reflecting
On wonders and light
So inspiring
They invited me
To give of my soul
Feelings so bold
Wonders of love
Kindness and joy
The music of peace
A silent dream
Breathed
On the spiritual need
Of one who prayed
For the amazing grace
Rained down by a Father
Who knows every thought
Blesses the sincere heart
With joy beyond words
A song of pure wonder
Pouring over the one who knows
His light is a light of love
Shining through the darkest
Of thoughts, with tenderness
An intimate promise
Of reassurance, warmth
Coloring the smile in praise
Penetrating the skies
With stardust
Delight, insight
Into the feelings, the will
Who knows He is the hope
Bringing poetry alive
Like wisdom that thrives
With acceptance
Inspiring miracles, grace
Across the spirit
Who listens with faith
To His way, His standard
Patterning their lives
On the love that reminds
Everyone to listen
To the heart who sighs
A song of sweet love
Poured out from above
On those who know Him
This Jesus who does
Give us a new beginning
A second chance
A tender embrace
Friendship that is kind
Consoling heart and mind
With the beauty of One
Who gave His life
So we could come home
To the place He prepares
With His gentle care
Without this One
Who shines like the Son
We wouldn’t know what it is
To believe with the assurance
That His grace penetrates
Even the worst sorrow
The heaviest darkness
The brokenness so horrible
That it is too tragic to speak of
He heals, fulfills, inspires
And desires our hearts to be
Filled with His undying love!
He is everything to me
Without Him, I agree
I wouldn’t know what it means
To be filled with love that is
His gift to even the worst sinner.
Without Him – I wouldn’t be
Here to tell others to believe
Find the peace that flows
From the wonder of His spirit
The miracle of One who is full
Of love that only looks on the soul!
