Light Chase
Light chase
The blackened darkened clouds cast shadows on to this place
The crow sits silently on the wooden fence while rabbits run back to base
The people go in doors for now the thunder and the lightening bring rain upon my face
It is the way of things that places and memories combine to forever fixate in the brain a trace
The forest floor covered in wet brown leaves as the autumn is here to embrace
A man walks by with his dog and glances to see my dark eyes staring into space
I have become part of a memory and thought that runs around drawing pictures of the woodland and moss dark green lying with such grace
The rain stops and the sunshine floods through the canopy of the trees to shine in shards of light that illuminate the ground and golden become the leaves under foot replace
And all is calm and silent like just before the thunder and the lightening except I have cleansed my body to be new like the earth breathing nutrients from the rain and my memory chase
