Light Bright

Light Bright Light Bright
Please put me to sleep
When I wake please turn on
To a swan I meet.

All the bulbs one by one
I put them in and sing a song
I make my fantasies all come true
My world green and sometimes blue

You light my life when I am down
I sit and play with you on the ground
I make it dark with only you
Lit up to make a an eery hue

At times I just create like the wind
Nothing in mind I just begin
When I'm done I look and smile
I can work for quite a while

As an adult still appreciate
I can, sit, imagine and create
I wish i still had you here with me now
I'd salute you, I kneel and bow.

Light Bright was something from the mid-to-late sixties. I never was given one, but some friends of mine used to play with them. You have described everything so well here with good rhyming. I can see why it was chosen to be among the best in the contest. Congratulations.
