Light - 300 Lanterns
Trumpets and clay-pot lanterns were the weapons that God told Gideon to use in defeating the Midanites and Amalekites (numerous as locusts). God cut Gideon's army down the 300 men, obviously the victory would be in God's hands alone. My poem below are lanturnes (a poetic form) - nuggets of truth we can use to fight personal battles letting the enemy know that "the surpassing greatness of the power is of God and not of ourselves."
light
God's fight
in plain sight
the foe takes flight
light
love
plan of
God above
no push, no shove
love
peace
release
hate can cease
need no police
peace
hope
my rope
learn to cope
no call for dope
hope
trust
unjust
when I'm cussed
I will adjust
trust
grace
I face
guilt gives place
to God's embrace
grace
