Lifted Me Up

Lifted Me Up

Eye’s so clear, shine bright like pools lit by light from the sun on a glacier, look back at me.

Hair flowing free like fields moving gently by warm breeze, the sweet smell fills the air caressing all it touches.

The smile reaches the eye’s secrets of joy and pain deeply hidden, the promise of happiness on lips yet to be kissed.

You reached down through brambles of despair and found me hiding in my hole, led me to the light placed my feet on comfy ground, head held high back straight and right.

To a house built with walls of happiness, through windows of honesty we avoid the slights of the world, we grow old together under the moon of serenity which lights our nights by a fireplace to warm our souls in its caring glow.
