Life's Passing
Remembering when a single street light brights
Days of when kids went out and play
In the streets running wild, out of trouble
Playing to nearly bed, break for supper
Bats flew dark nights in hunt for prey
Watching them dive after rock thrown
Hide and seek, tag your it
To be a kid was to live life
Adults taught well, morals with perspective
We now today tell them go away
No guidance do we care, play a game
Do something with you, don't bother me
Life's Passing, when we used care of who we are
Now just lost in drama of life's beat
Everyday trials the struggles we find real
Fun of life, put to the side line
Now living of adulthood has come to eyes
The understanding, how good it was to be a kid
Days we love another no matter color of skin
Days when mankind knew of heart's kindness
We came together, partied like no tomorrow
Life's Passing, tomorrow today's present
Living in moment no time given
Even our own have we fallen to world defiance
Now my own I await darkness days
Only in memory, deep from the grave
