Life's a Blast

Like a nuclear explosion But without the hellish devastation One that reigns down pretty flowers Instead of deaths by the millions Of innocent people Going about their daily lives Unaware of what lies just around the corner Instead... world PEACE Never before in the history of mankind Has it ever been achieved Where the rejoicing breaks out Celebrations would continue for decades Halleluya

I love how the poem starts out seemingly devastating but surprises us with something that will make the reader smile. Achieving world peace—it’s difficult to imagine when living in such a dark world, but there is light all around us to remind us it is still possible. Always, Laura

Ah, Jack, I think it could be achieved if everyone on earth had our attitude...but, alas, they don't and so we must make the best of the world as we have it.
