Life Without Mom

Why do I have all these bad thoughts in my head, the worst one of all is wishing I were dead. Every morning I wake up the thoughts are still there, the more I sit and think about them, the more I just don't care. I have been trying hard, for things to be the way they should, maybe if I didn't care so much for once in my life I could. My MOM was always number one in my life, but now that she is gone, it has been hard for me to be able to move on.

Hi Colleen, i am touched by your poem. I love my biological mom so so much... even though she gave me up for adoption... i miss her every day... At first I found it tough to move on.. This poem and thoughts are so sad. This is an old poem, so I'm hoping as a friend the feeling of hoping to be dead are gone... mothers are always #1... xox~ Linda

Loss of true loved ones has also crippled me into deep states of depression constantly. but we'll all join them soon enough eventually. No one lives forever and in that sense it comforts me, but I'll be one day with my lost loved ones sure enough. Until then I'll fight my depression. I'll try to stay tuff. Great Write Colleen. Best Wishes Always, Bill

I also lost my mom and best friend. It was very hard at first but now i just talk to her. I'm not a fruitcake but it helps just to imagine her by my side, still giving me advice (not always what i want to hear) but I keep her with me always. Hope this helps. I found writing is the best tool to let it out..don't keep it inside. Wonderful poem. Thank you.

Hi Colleen, I know it's hard to bear the loss of your mum, but hold the thought of her love and wisdom shining down on you, when negitivity trys to grab you, BAN IT! swop it for a positive thought, (your dreams, your desires, your mum!) YOU are in controll, form a habit of doing this, and see negitive thoughts slip away, do this for me Colleen, your friend always, Simone

Mom did her best for you I am sure Colleen. While she was here in natural form, but she has liquified now into the amazing state of love's paranormal realm. She can still communicate with you through Love's spirit. God bless you, fro you are also God's Love, sincerely, Love Moses

Losing some one close to you is NEVER easy. I know. But you just continue to look at the family you have around you right here through the providence of God. Soup mail. Lightwalker

Loosing someone close to you is very difficult. I am sorry about the death of your mother. Grief takes time and each person grieves in their own time and own way. Don't let it get you down. Write about it and talk about it to someone. Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my work. Sara

Colleen, I am very sorry about the loss of your mom. Sometimes the mourning process is almost unbearable. But with prayer, focus on learning from God, and giving service to others, in time, it will become less painful. SUGGESTION TO TRY: When you wake up and the bad thoughts are in your head. Chase them away with out loud scripture reading or by singing your favorite song over and over if needed. You are loved by many here on the soup. So, HANG IN THERE and pray a lot. Lovingly, Dane Ann
