Life Renewed
The river, the giver
of life
The river, the giver
of time as we know it
Volumes of history
on my shelves
Offer dark pictures
One sees shadows
when one delves
into the records of the past
So I'll watch the river, the giver
as it brings renewed life
The river, the giver
bringing home peace
The river, the giver
watch as it flows past our homes
the river, the giver
make it your own!
