Life of Liberty

Is merely an illusion, Strife the delusion Where we all fall down. Is what men fought and died for, Sought the middle ground But have never found. Is the dream we dream daily, But now see only Pain and suffering.

Interesting lines, Kathy... I've been thinking about the topic of liberty a lot lately. My take at the moment is that I'm just as free as I was in 1970. There were restrictions then, and there are now; there was speech which made people uneasy then, and there is now too; there were wars, pain and suffering then, and there is now... And the country was just as divided then as it is now and just as much visceral hatred too... And so it goes... Thanks for the food for thought. Write on, please!
