Life Now Cries Out, This Truth, There Is No Holy Grail

There Beyond The Purple Veil, I Hear Her Calling

As sorrowing winds blow, darkness begins falling
There beyond the purple veil, I hear her calling
For the smell of the hillside, the flowers gifting
Nature's streaming beauty, life that’s so uplifting
Yet here I sit, quite desperate and so alone
Wandering this darkness, how must I now atone.

My heart wants relief, but the shadows are playing.
Again I kneel down and sincerely start praying.

Again this sad aching soul, its path looks ahead
Recall my youth, fairy tale promises I was fed
But mind and intelligence defeats not the dark
I am now an ancient tree stripped of its bark
Yet here I sit, quite desperate and so alone
Wandering this darkness, how must I now atone.

My heart wants relief, but the shadows are playing.
Again I kneel down and sincerely start praying.

My true love looks on just behind the purple veil
Body exist here in pain, just a sadden shell
Agony and weeping are my companions
As I struggle here in torturous dark canyons
Yet here I sit, quite desperate and so alone
Wandering this darkness, how must I now atone.

My heart wants relief, but the shadows are playing.
Again I kneel down and sincerely start praying.

Life Now Cries Out, This Truth, There Is No Holy Grail

I stab the stone wall, all to no avail
Life now cries out there is no Holy Grail
World has it right, all must walk their path blind
Weak, we think we are body, soul and mind
But reality points to that other thing
True love that its bountiful joy can bring
A soulmate, an angel to hold and love
In that truth, we can see Heaven above.

I attack that monster, that state of death.
Doing so with my all, with my last breath.

I wage a mighty war, futile tho' it will be.
Knowing reality cries, death has final decree.

I stab the stone wall, no hope- all to no avail.
Life now cries out, this truth, there is no holy grail.

The winter cold chills with its glee
As frozen are the lost fruit trees
Heart walks into welcoming abyss
Life and death, dare one such times miss?

Those Radiant Rays, Soothe Both Heart And Aching Soul

When the dark overcomes dawn's sweet, radiant light
And sun is blotted out by far too early night
Remember that the "Light of Hope" always returns
Tho' in darken world, again the evil seas churns
Those radiant rays, soothe both heart and aching soul
To conquer misery, vanguish evil's great tolls.

' Otherwise we would be overwhelmed All these realites are invisible, also Being indivisible everything flows through Our consciousness until we become part Of the greater consciousness ' Good to see you still writing.' Thank you my friend. Life is truly about choices- we make a great many every day. Finding a path into the Light is the most important choice that any of us will ever make, imho. God bless...

Dear Robert, I so closely identify with your feelings in this poem. “ My heart wants relief, but the shadows are playing. Again I kneel down and sincerely start praying.” The answers lie there. It heals along with time. Blessings xxoo

The lines expressing your agony and your heartbreak tug at my heart strings ! Many a time we feel that life is a futile struggle for existence- one of trials and tribulations, of death and a gaping void. In moments when you plunge into the abysmal depths of despair, raise your heart in prayer... ! Definitely you will be able to find meaning to your sorrows. There is a silver streak even in the cobalt skies. A very touching poem, Robert!
