I will always hold my head high
You won't be the reason that I'm crying
All those tears are mine to bear
You don't deserve my intimate fears
'Cos life is for the living
And we only get one shot
Love is for the giving
It's this power that we've got
No one forced your hand
No one showed a gun
You're just disappointed
That I'm my own sun
Everything I gave to you
You took for granted like a fool
Everything I was in your life
Seemed to make you take flight
And I am chasing freedom, now
I am better off on my own
I won't be held back ever
Because there's no one home
'Cos life is for the living
