Life Is a List
Life is
trust fund babies who are guaranteed their pieces of the pie,
poverty striking those who battle to survive.
Life is
fatherless daughters who suffer in distress, for no one is to teach them how to love these men.
Life is
trading your soul for a lifeless future,
for money is the root of evil,
made to make you suffer.
Life is
sleeping off unrequited dreams,
as narcissists kill as a way to live.
Life is
adulthood giving false promises to those who wish to have a family of their own.
Life is
anxiety as a friend, insomnia as your best,
sometimes suicidal thoughts will sneak up on your chest.
Life is
as hard as it knocks, as hard as can be,
days are limiting, but thankful to still breathe.
