Life Is a Journey

 
Why do sad tears come to me at night? Life is a journey,
is that my beloved in the light? Life is a journey.

Oh, turn back the pages of the tangled path I have lived,
from a small girl it has been a fight! Life is a journey.

In dreams I see the beautiful faces of the long dead,
I should be scared as it is a fright! Life is a journey.

Come, my ghosts whisper soft to me, your lips we want to kiss,
when I try to hold them- they take flight! Life is a journey.

Down a long winding road I bring red roses for the dead,
and that evening, I will sadly write! Life is a journey.

I am heartbroken but I can still fly and soar up high,
I can go to an amazing height! Life is a journey.

Duke Beaufort April 16, 2017 at 8:11 PM I really like the soaring part. The really neat thing about it is that we can look at a lot of different things at once while we're up there doing that. You are a real heart of gold with wings that will take you higher and higher. If there is a breakthrough there to be had, it will be you that will experience it--of that I am certain.
