Life Clucks and Then You Fry
Life Clucks and Then You Fry
I Wake ‘em up screaming
“My cock is blue”
I spent the moonlight
chasing you
and now you tend
another’s egg,
I pleaded, cried,
I even begged.
The others are
but passing flings
I do not long
to touch their wings.
I’d rather sit
beside your nest
while you hatch
the little pests.
What you fail
to realize
Is - it’s my job
to fertilize
pursue the ones
that are “free range”
chase the lure
of something “strange”.
I am a Cock
so I must try
because “ life clucks
and then you fry.”
