Life and Death

Life can start changing
It begins with your mouth
Watching over those words
That come spitting out
Speaking negative will hurt you
So turn it around
Watching over those words
His word works well





Life and death
In the power of the tongue
Watching over those words
Could prove to be fun 
In all situations
When talking the talk
Watching over those words
So you're walking the walk




Words can build you up
Words can tear you down
Words are very powerful
Words can hang around




I’m changing my life
By the words that I speak
Watching over those words
That curse or bless me
If I say something wrong
I'm only learning you see
Watching over those words
Of the fruit I shall eat





The mouth can cause trouble
Out on the streets
Watching over those words
Could bring harmony
Bridle your tongue
And watch what you say
Watching over those words
Now have a nice day

The Bible tells us the tongue is a two edged sword and I always add that if you aren't careful you can cut yourself to death on your own sword. A good prayer to keep in mind and say often: Lord please keep Your right hand upon my shoulder and your left over my mouth. Great job here Kevin. From 1 to 7 this gets a 10 from me. God Bless, JB
