Life
Life, like a praying mantis,
Takes what it wants.
Still and disguised in the foliage,
Watching the white butterflies
Flit by in the sunlight,
And the busy bees drinking
In the nectar of the day –
It suddenly reaches out its
Preying arms and strikes.
Pulling and devouring,
While the bee struggles
To hold on to the fragile
Flower she was dipping into
Just moments before –
The will to live so strong
That she keeps sucking until she is finally eaten.
