LIFE

Much like the limbs of a tree,
Life has away of reaching out towards the heavens.
With roots,
Grounded and fastened steadfast to the bedrock,
We can be firm in our foundation whilst blowing and bending to the winds Will.

Leaves,
Like family or friend or foe,
Will come and go as life is
seasonal.
Let hardships or pain fall off.
And be shed like these leaves. Each year regrowth, new and stronger
 beauty.

Feel the gifts given to you daily.
Let the sun smile upon you.
These are God‘s gifts, these are His blessings.
It’s hard to not be
blinded
by the glory of it all when you already have your face
turned up
towards the heavens.

Worry, not about the scurrying of insects and n’er do wells blinded and bumbling at your feet, your roots,
They have their Eyes
cast down
Living in greed and fear.
They know not the strength
The secrets of life that you behold.
Set not your dreams and hopes upon earthly things.
But do what is right,
in service,
for the betterment of those around you.

Stand firm, o tree..
As I climb your welcoming branches.
Hold me in your bows..
Shield me in your cover of shade
That I might know thee.

Giver of life, o tree..
Let me stay a while longer.
To learn of thy twists and
Turns.
Of firmness and of love.
Balance betwixt everlasting and seasonal.

Much like the limbs of a tree,
Life is ever reaching, and ever growing.
