Thank you, Andrea. Judging 61 poems is no joke. I judge contests on a Japanese haiku site and it can be quite a headache when there are about 150 entries (I also have to analyse some of the winning ones). ~ Regards // paul

I love this thoughtful little piece. So much pathos in terse little statements, and loved the last line, "heavenly scheme." Congrats on 8th place out of 61 entries! This was outstanding.
