Life-Style
Life, stylin' like what you see on T.V.
Though behind the scenes, is not what you see
The next American Idol is who you long to be
Caught up in the rapture of ideology
The changing of the times as seasons come to pass
As structure and morals never seem to last
Crazed by the fashion, crazy about the life
Mere words it seems using vulgarity is rife
Candy to the eye and entertainment for the desires
Tickling of the flesh and rewarding for the buyers
What is the cost to live life supreme
Losing of the soul to gain the American dream
Arousing malevolence from video games to extinguish
As virtual reality makes it hard to distinguish
What is tangible and mere illusions
Resulting in fusion's from the mass confusion
Chasing the wind, catching the air
Searching for happiness because the insides are bare
Where is your treasure, where is your gold
Where is your salvation, your soul that you hold
Directed by darkness because ignorance fills the mind
Blinded by the glitter and artificial lights that shine
Styles of life, glamorous or dull
Is your cup half empty or is it half full?
