Life-Changing Flight

I flew to Israel at age 22 Ten days after graduating college Knew what I didn't want to do in life Didn't know what I wanted to do Got off the plane Looked at the signs All in Hebrew! Kosher Meat -- in Hebrew Taxi for Hire -- in Hebrew Lod Airport -- in Hebrew (Today: Ben Gurion International Airport) My language! My Country! My Home! Moved there "for good" five years later Didn't quite make a go of it, Pity! Returned broken-hearted... But the Flavor of the Land The Spirit of Its People My People! Has never left me: They Changed My Life They Changed Me For the Better Forever!
