Lies

You tell me you love me You tell me you do You tell me you love me You say its true You gave me hope You gave me light You gave me a ladder that I could climb But now I’m falling down Spiraling and plummeting so fast Lost in a hole of confusion oh so vast You lied to me, made a fool of me Are you happy? Is this what you planned? To use me and play with my heart Did you toy with me from the start? So it was wrong to give you my trust It was just a small simple crush The stupid cupid hit me But looks like he missed you These lies are like flies You swat one down and kill one only to find more and more appearing I wish your love wasn’t a lie I wish your love was true Please, Rescue. ©
