Leviticus
I must confess that, for years, the third book of the Bible called Leviticus was never one that I enjoyed or looked forward to reading. I had found it to be meticulous, hard, and difficult to read. Perhaps it was the details, procesures, and processes that pinned me against a wall of many questions. There were no short-cuts or roundabout ways to God's desired outcomes. Every turn demanded heavy focus and total obedience.
I later came to a place whereby I could focus on principles, purposes, and God's ultimate plans. Reaching this point can best be explained by this acrostic of the word Leviticus:
Listening to God is a divine prerequisite to knowing God
Efficiency is more than just a word; it is 'God's more than enough plan'
Victory over sin is certain, and Christ's vicarious suffering is sure
Iniquity's defeat is without doubt and every stain is blotted out
Totality of confessed guilt asures the totality of God's pardon
Identity with God is possible because of Christ's death on the Cross
Christ was God in the flesh, no longer in types and shadows
Universality of God's provision is now available to everyone
Salvation is achieved for all comers by what God has done
