Letting Your Hair Down

Me and my sweetheart Went out on a date We were just Kids With no money to spend After strolling for a while We stopped in a desert alley “Let’s park here” he said… It was a library parking lot, for chrissake!! It was night, the streets desert Then we start to make out Kisses here, kisses there I heard a sudden noise and got scared It was a loud bang Right on my window My heart was beating so loud I thought it would blow out There was someone outside Trying to open my door I could see a gun thru the glass I was too freaked out to process Then I heard the shout… “Police, get out!” I took a deep breath and opened my door On jelly legs I got out of the car The officer wanted my docs I was so screwed if my mom found out My sweetheart was great And convinced the cops To not press charges Or calling our parents The night ended like that But I got the scare OF A LIFETIME… right there! **** January 22, 2017 3rd place in the Contest LETTING YOUR HAIR DOWN Sponsored by: Frank Herrera

Our cops don't pull guns out on us unless they intend to shoot you! Great poem, Claudia!

Here they approach any "suspicious" car with their guns at hand... lol... in that case, he was using the gun to bang on my window... I was pretty sure we were about to get robbet until I realize it was the police... lol... I'm happy you liked it :)

The first rule of "parking and petting" is make certain you are outside of city limits where the police have no jurisdiction. Believe me, your parents already know, Claudia. Lol Fun read, brought back a couple of memories:)

But that's another story... :P I'm happy you enjoyed the poem, Daniel... Thanks for stopping by - Hugs :D

I'm sure nothing like this ever happened to me. Cough Cough I know your heart did quicken and the parent fear factor was not a good detractor! Enjoyable, Claudia. Now, are you showing this write to your parents or children? I'm kidding. Good luck in the contest and all else ... CayCay

Hahaha I'm pretty sure it never happened to you, CayCay ;) And yes, I'll post it on Facebook (of course I'll deny to my mom that it's a true story) lol - lucky that I've no kids to follow our example - hahaha - thanks and Hugs :*
