Let's Set Out To Sea
Let's set out to sea
leaving the harbor with reluctance
but searching for the freedom in the wind.
Set the sails just so
we are drawn in the directed tidal flow
bounding out to sea.
Follow the horizon there
off in the distance
as the sun rise gives us light and warmth.
All in life has brought us to this
warm breezes, salted air, harbors that await
the arrival of our journey's start.
Let's set out to sea
free of the land that bound us
to tasks unplanned and once tied us down.
Let the wind take us out
along the very edge of the world
to live and breathe, forever free, set upon the wind.
Latch tight, harnessed
to the very winds of change
and the time awaiting,
all that is yet to be.
Let's set out to sea.
