Let's Go Write a Poem
**To be sung to the tune of "Let's Go Fly a Kite" From the Mary Poppins movie.
With a dictionary for words and ideas
you can jot your ideas on paper
With your fingers to the keyboard
You're a poet set in motion
With your rhymes holding true,
to the verse of your poem!
Ab, ba, ab!
Let's go write a poem
Up to the poetic right
Let's go write a poem and set it rhyming!
Down through the stanzas
right where the lines are brazed
Oh, let's go write a poem.
When you put your words in motion
And you give your pen devotion
You can write with the best poets
Over phrases and nouns
to the tune of your poem
Ab, ba, ab!
Let's go write a poem
Up to the poetic right
Let's go write a poem and set it rhyming!
