Let Me Rise
A sore kiss from the sun
Reminds this heart of the light
The energy that must manifest in gold
That must be shared - humbly, freely, genuinely
I remember that I am but a beam,
And not a blaze
A stream,
And not an ocean
A glance,
And not a gaze
Press the burning coal upon my heart
Keep it there long
Purify my being
Cast my iniquities to the flames
Quiet his prideful reign
And let me rise to see the day
