How does one interpret love
Is it measured day by day
I can only say to you
Let me love in my own way
Can one count so many words
Six “I love you(s)” to repay
What of thoughts of tender tongue
Let me love in my own way
Budding roses pink and sweet
Champagne kisses everyday
Are these really deeds d’amour
Let me love in my own way
Spoken promise to be true
What of silent verite’
As I live for your caress
Let me love in my own way
