Let It Be

Let It Be

I held his hand through storms at night,
He clung to me with quiet might.
The world was loud, but we stayed still,
Two hearts that bent with stubborn will.
He whispered low, just let it be,
Like waves that break, then beg the sea.
We weren’t unscarred, but we were free
And that was more than fate to me.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Such splendid, delivered rhyme and feel, quite the poem package. 'Let it Be' are 3 wee words of enormous emotive feel and that came thru. Never revise, let it be. Poetry hugs ... CayCay
