Let Go
Memories of you are
Still whirling around
And blowing a stiff breeze
Forcing me to the ground
I want to stand again
So what if I remember
Or if you do too?
You and I both have
Moved onto the new
2014 meant
Nothing at all
Time to let go
There's more than what I have seen
Goodbye memories
You can't hold me down now that I'm not a teen
I spent last year wasting
So much time with thought
Thoughts of nostalgic
Times that you brought
And I've
Spent so many years
Singing about how you changed everything
I've found what I sought
Time to let go
We've all found our own trails
Farewell mon cheri
Goodbye, and away we sail
Hey my friend,
We haven't
Said a word since the last time
We got drunk
Shared stories
Temptation lying in wait
I saved you
So we say
I say you saved your own self
Either way
Those days are
Over and it's time to move on
Time to let go
Standing on equal ground
Adieu, my past
Onto this path I found
