Let Go

They say it's hard out there
But they never tried
Witness to television
Not to life

Sitting on their thrones
Of paisley print fabric
Holding the chalice of hypocrisy
And consuming the sensationalism

Darkest days they see
With curtains drawn tight
Holding onto their egos
Never to leave

Nature all around
Just breathe it in
Let it comfort you
Let it be

To live, let something die
To die will breathe new life
Under those towering trees
The rain shall baptize
