Let Friendship Be Our Candle

Let Friendship be our candle We all must older And head over the aging hill If we try to go back down Will get push against our will Time waits for no one Likes to fly out the gate If you love some one Tell them before it’s too late Every day goes by Don’t know what tomorrow brings For some it can be over Before the fat lady gets to sings Life is full of desire And we can’t have it all It’s easy to lost our way Thru lives lonely halls This is our time now We must leave our mark Let Friendship be our candle To guide us thru the dark When a heart is breaking Doesn’t mean it did wrong A heart likes to wonder And goes where it don’t belong Some say in a beautiful valley Where the water flows Under that shade of a willow tree It’s where lost love goes I don’t know much But I know the sky is blue And I care for my friends Hope they care for me too The friends we lost today Will be the ones we need tomorrow And friendship is a special thing You cannot steal or borrow
