Life,
As we
Know it from
Personal growth,
Is the sum of our
Experiences learned
In the school of life itself!
For some, it’s the school of hard knocks.
For others, it’s a breeze; when they learn
To meet hardships with positivity!
We have growth when we deal well with our trials,
Gaining success through patience and smiles!
“Reading, ’riting, and ’rithmetic”
Will help you to get by,
But I learned only
One thing useful
From high school -
How to 
Type!

Andrea Dietrich October 11, 2015 at 8:31 AM my poems don't come flowing out of me like they do for you, so shorthand is not needed . However, I took notehand in high school but barely was catching on to it by the time the class was ended. DANG!

Jennifer Walker October 10, 2015 at 7:43 PM That is sad that school taught you only one useful thing. I loved typing but I also loved Math and it has proven to be useful in so many ways. I think you are wrong about that sis, you learned a powerful subject, English, one that you excelled in. Andrea Dietrich October 10, 2015 at 7:48 PM Jenny, I learned all I needed from elementary and junior high school. The English in High school was just a little added frosting on the cake. Algebra and geometry did NOTHING for me. To this day I don't get it. bad teachers I guess. Honestly, I learned only how to type!! (in high school)

Duke Beaufort October 10, 2015 at 8:27 AM Yes, we still are linked to keyboards. A funny interface that has stood the time test of about 100 years. At some point, it may disappear, but at least we have had the experience of using it. Something like dial phones.
