Yes, how similar our entries were~ !! I still haven't been able to find out where my error was, although I keep reading it over, can't find the syllable I miss counted! (Unless she just didn't like it !! LOL !! That is always a possibility!!)

It is a pity that school is wasted on the young. Very clever etheree. Typing led to my career so the truth really hit home. I enjoyed your poem very much ... CayCay

Great etheree! I remember typing class, but I really wish I remembered shorthand. It would make it much easier to jot down poems.

my poems don't come flowing out of me like they do for you, so shorthand is not needed . However, I took notehand in high school but barely was catching on to it by the time the class was ended. DANG!

That is sad that school taught you only one useful thing. I loved typing but I also loved Math and it has proven to be useful in so many ways. I think you are wrong about that sis, you learned a powerful subject, English, one that you excelled in.

Jenny, I learned all I needed from elementary and junior high school. The English in High school was just a little added frosting on the cake. Algebra and geometry did NOTHING for me. To this day I don't get it. bad teachers I guess. Honestly, I learned only how to type!! (in high school)

Yes, we still are linked to keyboards. A funny interface that has stood the time test of about 100 years. At some point, it may disappear, but at least we have had the experience of using it. Something like dial phones.

When we begin to understand, we're learning. For me, it started at an early age, and school was a part of that. Nice poetry Andrea, James xx

You do gain a lot of info in school. The highlight was getting a 790 out of 800 on the American History achievement test. Nice use of this form! Peace & Love Matthew Anish

Ha ha, this is a fun one. The only down side is that typewriters don't have spell check.
