Lesson Learnt In Life

They
might be
hailing you,
praising you with
their sonorous tongues:
not all  have  a  plain  mind;
do not be overwhelmed by
a fresh face. they will rate you, hate
you, and even indulge in gossip,
but not all have a crispy feeling of
malice for you; one who hurts you now can
be the source of your comfort next time,
But those deeds are an impetus
to strengthen you, to make you
think further, to make you...
you. for the greatest
coach in mother
earth is life
itself...
Think.

Awesome piece of Poetry Afolabi, It really resonates with me. The greatest coach in mother earth is life..... I like that, The language of the world, reading what our life is showing us and making mindfully aware changes if need be, which is making us more consciously aware :) PEACE, Quincy Mac

Your feelings leap out of your words and ignite the emotional fires alive within your verses. You have painted a picture with words that inspire, sadden and captivate the reader. Emile.

We must become fools for Love before we become it's Master...this poem is the essence of politics immemorial, I like it's wisdom very much Afolabi. You have a talent for the dialectic, the didactic...J.A.B.

I had read your poem my friend and was left with the impression I had commented but it seems I have not so I missed to rate this exceptionally beautiful and meaningful poem with a seven. As I see, even without my visit your poem has won. How delightful for me your victory, my friend, A.M.!

Afolabi.....strength of soul.....brings one back to their "center force" agreed entirely....great write....i don't usually take time to rate poems.....really, who gives a crap in 50 yrs right? only that this poem moved to strengthen me today, for that I am vastly grateful my friend, for we have immense obstacles as a nation.....presidential candidates with evil intent, planet in peril.....but....love in my heart! thanks!
