Lenny's Love Story

Hello, I’m Lenny and I’m a ghost. Out walking the dog, My iPod playing my favourite music, I never saw or heard the speeding car. Jess barked, I looked up. For a moment I stared into the driver’s eyes and Then I was standing detached, looking on. There was Jess sniffing at my broken body Caught in the driver’s fixed gaze. That was five years ago But time stands still for Helen. I wait with her at the bus stop, I lie by her side at night And we sit in the evenings as she stares beyond the TV. Our hopes and dreams are of the past Now she exists not lives – numb. She visits my grave on the anniversary of that fateful day. Her shed tears fall through my outstretched hands And I cry for her tortured soul But I cannot shed tears. She trudges through the churchyard Down the leafy lane, lost in her thoughts. I shout in silence, “Helen, stop you are at the main road Don’t step out – there’s a lorry!” And then, there’s a hand on her shoulder. She hesitates, spins around and looks into his eyes. He smiles warmly and holds her as she sobs. At last her life is rekindled and I am now a memory. It is time for me to go. Farewell world, farewell my beloved Helen. I’m Lenny and I was a ghost.

Thanks for sharing this... Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

It’s true actually, after death some souls refuse to go into God’s domain of unconditional love and boundless light because of attachments. They remain ‘stuck’, so to speak, in this world but without a physical body.
