Left Behind

Blinding bright light But the darkest room The hottest night air But the coldest moods Finally, a quiet way out But trapped by the sound Breathe out relief But breathe in fear Face to face with the tallest man But can possess the shortest temper Beautiful white gates But an ugly past Hope to be forgiven But reality denies What happens in dreams can only be lies What will you do when two worlds collide...

What a blessing we have in PoetrySoup. A place to come to write and read and make new friends along the ink trail. I am wishing you a day full of inspiration. I enjoyed reading your poetry today and hope to read many more written by you in the future Devin. Love, Carol
