A grey kitten chased blue butterflies, With his wide open and wondering eyes, In the very orange hues of evening June, As lazy shadows frolicked with the moon. Purple martin was off to places unknown, Like a great many others I have known- Saffron yesterdays, gone in but a moment, Leaving vestiges of memory, very potent!
