Least Wanted

Those with the superiority complex
(that ignoble Cain addiction)
patently labeled their Abel-bodied brother
as frontal lobe,
     mental inferior capacity suspect

So it iron oar made copper sense
to capitalize
on recessive hereditary arrogance

Brass bracelet shackled to the bottom line,
obsidian cargo
was king Cotton sold

Gavel auction told,
we were worth
Midas weight in gold

Woolly hair souls most wanted
for the perilous, New World journey

In cagey, sugar cane exchange,
swine profit rum
was the piggy bank sum
of our perp-etual free labor destiny

Dread lock hope shorn,
given a bar code price identity
Sea siren burn notice —
Lip lash beaten to the first degree

Criminally purse snatched,
then laughingstock labeled as
‘Menace to Society’

e-scapegoats

Are always skin color hunted,
runaway response
be our trigger fear:
Premature burial fate
for the notorious least wanted

From a-shining sea to blind-see,
dark waves was
how pale our ebony wails scream

From plantation to penitentiary,
we awaken daily ...
tear chained to much toil misery

Still with the iron caste status of lowly,
beast of burden property

It’s cell sleepwalk terrible to be,
living inside the
least wanted place of our dreams
