Leaflets

From scent of earth, Longing to rise, a sprout Emerges upward bound, unfurling green, Admiring skies, stretching Far without a sound. Climbing, climbing up Ladders of blue, the long vine Eagerly pushes through. Budding leaflets Try to fly, like the Seagulls sailing by. The vine and leaflets are taller than tall... until Jack gets his axe and makes it all fall.
