Leadership
I have always thought that President Jimmy Carter
was and is one of the most genuine and finest persons
in the world. On the other hand, I don't think that
he was a good president.
Also, in my observations, I have witnessed people
that were not the best characters. I would not dare
sit in their Sunday school class, but they had my
vote because they were leaders and loved to lead.
We are all flawed and sometimes blunder our way through life.
But there are some people that were born to lead. Without
regard to their party affiliation, they are leaders. They
are strong and don't mind blazing a trail or standing alone.
They do not simply surf the waves; they make the waves.
They do not belong to the Club of 9. They should join
neither the 100 Club nor the Club of 435. On the other hand,
some people should retire as Judges, Senators, and Congressmen.
Are you a leader? That is the question.
Are you presidential? That is the question.
I think that one can safely say that success or failure begins
and ends with a thought. Some thoughts are realities; some
thoughts are fantasies. May we be mindful to think clearly.
And may the Lord give us true leaders.
