His name is Lazarus, the brother
To Mary and Martha, the two
Who love him more than any other
Always sure his light would subdue
His heart is filled with a yearning
For the peace that only comes to those
Who share in a relationship, a burning
For the Savior who one day arose
Lazarus, too, came back from dying
Not defeated by the darkness of the grave
Even though his sisters were still crying
He came back to the life Jesus gave
