Lay Down Your Arms
Lay down your arms,
to stop senseless
bloodshed
Lay down your arms,
to let flowers sprout
peacefully and beautifully
Lay down your arms,
to let the sky to be blue
again, without smoke
from war
Lay down your arms,
to let our ears hear
the choruses of birds,
and the sound of wind,
rather than the sounds
of guns and explosions
Lay down your arms,
to stop tears of sorrow
from flowing down
the cheeks of children
and women
Lay down your arms,
to let the children
have a bright future
to believe in
Lay down your arms,
to cease blocking
the passageway for blessings
on us from the Heavens
