Laws of Attraction

A palpable hovering haze
of intention or expectation
hangs in the silence

Avoiding the issue of attraction
As it weighs burdensome
On the lightheartedness of friendship
And its virtue of affection

Subtle yet really hardly so
Stubbornly refusing to name itself
And come out in the light

Somehow ashamed of its own existence
Yet here we are already in the What If

Very nice poem Line. Amazing when you meet someone and become friends but somewhere in the back of your mind something is speaking to you that this person could be more than a friend. Very well written. Oliver

Line, I think that this is quite a nice free verse 'companion' to your poem, "Love is Blind." In both, attraction is the theme. Love must be on your mind, young lady! Warmest winter smiles and wishes, :) Gershon P.S. My favorite book of my teacher, my 'Rebbe,' Rav Ahron Soloveichik, Of Blessed Memory, is titled: Logic of the Heart ~ Logic of the Mind. How about that?!
