Not written for a contest but based on the wit and out of the box chutzpa of a ballsy poet. If Shakespeare shakes his finger at me for breaking Sonnet rules, I will tell him I am a Lawless one, and a quill like John's is in my bag of tools. One Soup poet is a rebellious man He's a 'Wild Boy,' sung by Duran Duran Known to break a few rules Pen and paper, his tools Lawless' humor is jocular deadpan Some baffling riddles from the Boston Bard Might take an inspector from Scotland Yard He's mugged a metaphor "Innocent," he then swore! Be ready to run when John shout's "ENGARD!"

Dear Lin, What a great poetic quip on John and yes he is a poet that we all should read. I very much enjoyed the John Jaunt this morning. - Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

G'morning, Daniel and thanks for reading me. One never knows where John's Jaunts will lead.

in response to this poetic fluff..... I blush when reading such stuff..... for my poetic skin....... isn't tough it's quite thin...... chuckles wryly "too much ain't enough".... //at my core I'm just a metaphor//

And your rhyming response is exactly why your poetry draws me to read whatever your mind has been cooking. Yes, I know I've borrowed The Rock's line, but I doubt he'll over know that I did. Now, I'm contemplating what you might think you're a metaphor for...fore...four. I doubt you blushed.

This is so humorous and a right tribute to John the Lawless. It has made me smile. Sadly I think he hasn't seen this. Lin, definitely he will relish your sweet 'jab' on him. I wrote a lawless sonnet. But by the time I finished, the contest was just over.

Thank you very much for finding it humorous, Valsa. I knew he'd get around to it sooner or later.

I love his wit, Tom but sometimes I wonder if I'm a bit lawless and/or rebellious for laughing when I read John's posts. Nah... I just appreciate his poetry. Thanks for liking this one.
