Lavender Roses
leading to our room. . .
fragrant petals you had strewn
lavender roses
whose hue was that of the sky
when passion first bloomed for us.
lavender roses -
your anniversary gift
for our fortieth . . .
where the path of blossoms ends. . .
we recreate fantasies.
