Late Evening Musing

People pass by and moonlight causes shadows to appear in the metropolis Where are they all going? I surmise that some are going to see family while others are going to see lovers A full moon shines down - paying special attention to the lovers In the late evening one can gaze down upon and contemplate the masses of people moving through the city Evening brings rest to a tired metropolis C'mon poets - pick up a pen and celebrate urban fantasies For life in this city continues onward We versifiers should internalize it So we can rest easy Later on.....

Wonderful poem with nice imagery on Late Night Muse. In particular, I enjoyed reading very much the last six lines. Thanks for sharing, Matthew.
